Cemetery Walk at the Wee White Kirk
In honor of the Wisconsin Friends of John Muir taking over the ownership of the Wee White Kirk, Kathleen McGwin will be leading a tour of the historic church and cemetery, discussing its connection to John Muir and other local residents. Your $10 donation will go to the upkeep of the building.

About the Event
On Sunday, October 10 the Wisconsin Friends of John Muir is hosting a cemetery walk at the Wee White Kirk United Presbyterian Cemetery at 1:30 PM. The church is located on 13th Road and County Road O. It’s being presented by Kathleen McGwin and will begin in the Wee White Kirk built in 1865. You can learn how the early Scots-Irish settlers of Marquette County worshipped and about the lives of many of the earliest people to settle in the township of Buffalo. The cemetery is the final resting place of several of John Muir’s relatives as well as neighbors who encouraged him and befriended him. Hear their stories as we walk through the cemetery. .
Wisconsin Friends of John Muir is asking for a $10 donation per person which will be used for the upkeep of the historic Wee White Kirk.
