Join FIELD Edventures on Wednesday, July 8th at 4:00 PM (CT) when our guest Tiffany Lodholz challenges us to consider the question: How can I use John Muir as an inspirational figure to connect and engage students through discovery and exploration of their natural communities? This session complements our Summer Learning Series on Place-Based Education, and Tiffany will offer multiple, concrete examples and experiences used with students of High Marq Environmental Charter School as well as adult learners. Participants will walk away with specific activities for learners of all ages and abilities to connect and grow their sense of place and develop inquiry-focused mindsets. A vast array of resources--anchor texts, national organization materials, and more--will be shared. Tiffany Lodholz has a passion for all things John Muir and environmental-focused.  A long time member and President of the Wisconsin Friends of John Muir Society, Tiffany has led numerous field experiences for the community and High Marq where she is the school’s FIELD Naturalist, that integrate the writings of Muir, the history of his boyhood in Marquette County, and habitat projects. Join our free online community (www.connectexploreengage.org/) to receive each week's join information.
