An annual event. Earth day clean up in the morning followed by birthday cake, coffee and goodies, hikes and conversations. Great event for the entire family! This event is currently canceled/postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

John Muir's Birthday is on April 21, 1838. Help us celebrate each and every year at the very first land he ever tried to protect. This event typically occurs on the closest Saturday to his birthday.
We typically start out at John Muir Park and begin the Earth Day Cleanup. Take a stroll around the park, walk the County Highway F or neighboring roads, explore the Eggleston Property and the newly created trails in our newly aquired lands, or just meet up at the pavilion for cake (yes, we sing Happy Birthday) and conversations. Other activities such as saunters, guided and self hikes and trips to some of Muir's favorite places might be on the agenda. Stay tuned!
